For 6 euros per person (4 euros for children), climb to the top of the Cap Ferret's lighthouse and discover the magnificent panorama of the Bay of Arcachon. The lighthouse also houses exhibition rooms which highlight its history with displays of French nautical maps and the more recent history of the Nazi occupation which caused its destruction and reconstruction in 1947.
From the top of the lighthouse (52 meters high) you can see as far as 40 kilometres in the distance by good weather. For souvenirs, visit the store where you can buy a few items stamped 'Phare du Cap Ferret'.
