Obviously, it is not really a castle despite its two turrets, but a gate which allowed to control the access to the city of Delft.

 

This gate, built in the 14th century was connected to a series of medieval fortifications. It no longer protects the entrance to the city but is home to its happy owners; they have restored this magnificent building to live in one of the most original houses in the Netherlands.
