Glavas Source

Cetina River - Glavas

It took us a while searching on Google Maps to find this unique place known only to a few travellers and located near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The best way to get there is to book your flights to Split as well as your hotel at the best price in Split and to get to the village of Cetina by car (1h30 drive).

Behind the Orthodox Church you will see a small path that will take you to this source that is at the origin of the Cetina River. What looks like a small lake is actually the source of one of Croatia's most important rivers. Look in the middle of the lake, you will see that it is deeper in its centre. In reality it is an abyssal hole 137 metres deep! We do not recommend diving, it is illegal, but you can cool off with a glass from this water.

Book your hotel in Split as well as your best things to do in Croatia, such as a "Full-day rafting in Una National Park".

How to get there? Book your flights to Split and get to the village of Cetina by car (1h30 drive).
